Amends the Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair Braiding, and Nail Technology Act of 1985. Provides that for all minimum course requirements under the Act, up to 25% of the total hours may be provided online for related theory courses and a portion of related practicum courses.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair |
5 | | Braiding, and Nail
Technology Act of 1985 is amended by adding |
6 | | Section 1-14 as follows: |
7 | | (225 ILCS 410/1-14 new) |
8 | | Sec. 1-14. Online curriculum hours maximum. For all |
9 | | minimum course requirements under this Act, up to 25% of the |
10 | | total hours may be provided online for related theory courses |
11 | | and a portion of related practicum courses. This Section is |
12 | | subject to the rules of the Department.
