2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The University Credit and Retail Sales Act is |
5 | | amended by changing Section 2 as follows:

12 | | method, act or practice in violation of this Act and that |

would be in the public interest, he may bring an |
14 | | action in the name of the
State against any person or retail |
15 | | store operated by a State institution of
higher learning or |
16 | | operated on property held or leased for the use of the

17 | | institution to restrain and prevent any violation of this Act. |
18 | | In the
enforcement of this Act, the Attorney General may |
19 | | accept an assurance of
discontinuance of any act or practice |
20 | | deemed in violation of this Act from
any person or retail store |
21 | | operated by a State institution of higher
learning or operated |
22 | | on property held or leased for the use of the
institution |
23 | | engaging in, or that has engaged in, that act or practice.
