SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $50,000,000 from the State Coronavirus Urgent Remediation Fund to the Environmental Protection Agency for grants to municipalities to provide filters for areas with lead service lines whose areas do not have a plan to replace the lead service lines in accordance with requirements for the grants and filter specifications to be adopted by the Environmental Protection Agency prior to grant distribution. Effective July 1, 2022.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $50,000,000, or so much of that sum as may be necessary, is appropriated from the State Coronavirus Urgent Remediation Fund to the Environmental Protection Agency for grants to municipalities to provide filters for areas with lead service lines whose areas do not have a plan to replace the lead service lines in accordance with requirements for the grants and filter specifications to be adopted by the Environmental Protection Agency prior to grant distribution.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2022.
