Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that, notwithstanding any zoning ordinance adopted by the municipality, the corporate authorities of a municipality may pass an ordinance to prohibit or regulate the location of vending machines that provide an enclosed space or designated area for the use of a customer for pet grooming using goods or services dispensed by the machine. Effective immediately.

1 | | AN ACT concerning local government.
|
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
5 | | adding Section 1-2-1.3 as follows: |
6 | | (65 ILCS 5/1-2-1.3 new) |
7 | | Sec. 1-2-1.3. Pet grooming vending machines. |
8 | | Notwithstanding any zoning ordinance adopted by the |
9 | | municipality, the corporate authorities of a municipality may |
10 | | pass an ordinance to prohibit or regulate the location of |
11 | | vending machines that provide an enclosed space or designated |
12 | | area for the use of a customer for pet grooming using goods or |
13 | | services dispensed by the machine.

14 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
15 | | becoming law.
