SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $500,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, from the General Revenue Fund to the Board of Higher Education for grants to Watch Guard Chicago, a volunteer citizen patrol group, for purposes related to ensuring community and neighborhood safety. Effective July 1, 2022.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $500,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Board of Higher Education for grants to Watch Guard Chicago, a volunteer citizen patrol group, for purposes related to ensuring community and neighborhood safety.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2022.
