AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4164 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4164 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
 
4    "Section 5. The Unified Code of Corrections is amended  by 
5changing Section 3-2-4 as follows:
 



6    (730 ILCS 5/3-2-4)  (from Ch. 38, par. 1003-2-4)



7    Sec. 3-2-4. Governor to visit; members of the General 
8Assembly may visit Visit. 

9    (a) The Governor shall visit the institutions, facilities, 
10and programs of
the Department as often as the Governor he 
11deems fit, for the purpose of inquiring examining into
the 
12affairs and conditions of the Department.
13    (b) A member of the General Assembly may visit the

14institutions, facilities, and programs of the Department and 
15may visit with any individual incarcerated at any Department 
16institution or facility, upon
the request of the member to the

2conditions of the Department and the well-being of an
