Amends the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act. Provides that, notwithstanding any other provision of law, an applicant for a craft grower license who was unable to cure a deficiency in the applicant's craft grower license application in the time period allotted by the Department of Agriculture due to COVID-19: (1) shall have any of the deficient information provided by the applicant to the Department included in the applicant's craft grower license application's score in any award of a craft grower license by the Department during calendar year 2021; (2) the applicant's deficient craft grower license application shall be considered submitted, with the deficient information provided, in the award of the craft grower license by the Department and need not be resubmitted; and (3) shall not pay any additional fee to the Department regarding the applicant's craft grower license application. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act is amended |
5 | | by adding Section 30-60 as follows: |
6 | | (410 ILCS 705/30-60 new) |
7 | | Sec. 30-60. License deficiencies; COVID-19. |
8 | | Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an applicant for a |
9 | | craft grower license who was unable to cure a deficiency in the |
10 | | applicant's craft grower license application in the time |
11 | | period allotted by the Department due to COVID-19: |
12 | | (1) shall have any of the deficient information |
13 | | provided by the applicant to the Department included in |
14 | | the applicant's craft grower license application's score |
15 | | in any award of a craft grower license by the Department |
16 | | during calendar year 2021; |
17 | | (2) the applicant's deficient craft grower license |
18 | | application shall be considered submitted, with the |
19 | | deficient information provided, in the award of the craft |
20 | | grower license by the Department and need not be |
21 | | resubmitted; and |
22 | | (3) shall not pay any additional fee to the Department |
23 | | regarding the applicant's craft grower license |
