Amends the Workers' Compensation Act. Provides that no compensation shall be awarded to a claimant for death or disability arising out of an exposure to COVID-19 if the employee has refused a vaccination. Effective immediately.

1 | | AN ACT concerning employment.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Workers' Compensation Act is amended by |
5 | | adding Section 7.5 as follows: |
6 | | (820 ILCS 305/7.5 new) |
7 | | Sec. 7.5. COVID-19; no vaccine; no compensation. No |
8 | | compensation shall be payable for a death or disability |
9 | | arising out of an employee's exposure to COVID-19 if the |
10 | | employee has refused to take a COVID-19 vaccination.

11 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
12 | | becoming law.
