Creates the Agricultural Experiences Act. Provides that licenses are not required for anyone trying to provide an "agricultural experience" which is defined as any
agriculture-related activity, as a secondary use in conjunction with agricultural
production, on a farm which activity is open to the public with the intended purpose
of promoting or educating the public about agriculture, agricultural practices,
agricultural activities, or agricultural products.

1 | | AN ACT concerning Agriculture.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the |
5 | | Agricultural Experiences Act. |
6 | | Section 5. Agricultural experiences. |
7 | | (a) In this Section, "agricultural experience" means |
8 | | any agriculture-related activity, as a secondary
use in |
9 | | conjunction with agricultural production, on a farm
which |
10 | | activity is open to the public with the intended purpose
of |
11 | | promoting or educating the public about agriculture,
|
12 | | agricultural practices, agricultural activities, or |
13 | | agricultural products. |
14 | | (b) To assist in the promotion of agricultural |
15 | | experiences, a county shall not require a conditional use |
16 | | permit, special
use permit, special exception, or variance for |
17 | | agricultural experiences on property of which the primary use |
18 | | is
agricultural production.
