Requires the Department of Public Health to ensure that coroners are included as part of medical examiner offices for the purposes of complying with and implementing specified federal provisions.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and |
| 5 | | Duties Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
| 6 | | amended by adding Section 2310-431 as follows:
|

| 8 | | Sec. 2310-431. Coroners; medical examiner offices. The |
| 9 | | Department shall ensure that coroners are included as part of |
| 10 | | medical examiner offices for the purposes of complying with |
| 11 | | and implementing Sections 212(e) and 214(l) of the federal |
| 12 | | Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1182(e) and 8 U.S.C. |
| 13 | | 1184(l)) and 22 CFR 62 regarding the federal Exchange Visitor |
| 14 | | Program.
