Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that notwithstanding any provision of the Code, each opening weekend for every hunting season established by the Department of Natural Resources shall be at least 4 days long. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by adding Section |
5 | | 2.5b as follows: |
6 | | (520 ILCS 5/2.5b new) |
7 | | Sec. 2.5b. Hunting opening weekend. Notwithstanding any |
8 | | provision of this Code to the contrary, each opening weekend |
9 | | for every hunting season established by the Department shall |
10 | | be at least 4 days long.

11 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
12 | | becoming law.
