Amends the Public Funds Investment Act. Provides that each public agency shall, on an annual basis, determine the carbon footprint of its investment portfolio in its use of public funds, and make available to the public a report of the findings. Provides that a public agency in determining the carbon footprint of its investment portfolio under this Section may utilize financial data providers to aid in the collection of the required information.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Public Funds Investment Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 10 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 10. Public funds carbon footprint. Each public agency |
| 8 | | subject to the provisions of this Act shall, on an annual |
| 9 | | basis, determine the carbon footprint of its investment |
| 10 | | portfolio in its use of public funds, and make available to the |
| 11 | | public a report of the findings. A public agency in |
| 12 | | determining the carbon footprint of its investment portfolio |
| 13 | | under this Section may utilize financial data providers to aid |
| 14 | | in the collection of the required information.
