| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 7-603 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (625 ILCS 5/7-603) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 7-603)

| 7 | | Sec. 7-603. Illegal insurance cards - penalty. No person |
| 8 | | shall alter
an invalid insurance card to make it appear valid. |
| 9 | | No person knowingly
shall make, sell or otherwise make |
| 10 | | available an invalid or counterfeit insurance card.

| 11 | | Any person convicted of a violation of this this Section |
| 12 | | is guilty of a Class
4 felony.
