1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Legislative Commission Reorganization Act |
5 | | of 1984 is amended by changing Section 8A-5 as follows: |
6 | | (25 ILCS 130/8A-5)
|
7 | | Sec. 8A-5. Architect of the
the Capitol.
|
8 | | (a) The Architect of the Capitol must be an architect |
9 | | licensed under the
Illinois Architecture Practice Act of 1989 |
10 | | and must have at least 5 years of
experience in the field of |
11 | | architecture, historic preservation, or both.
|
12 | | (b) The offices of the Architect of the Capitol and his or |
13 | | her staff shall
be located in Springfield, Illinois, in a |
14 | | building or facility occupied in
whole or in part by the |
15 | | legislative branch.
|
16 | | (c) The Architect of the Capitol shall have the powers and |
17 | | duties provided
by law and by the Board of the Office of the |
18 | | Architect of the Capitol.
