1    AN ACT concerning revenue.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Simplified Sales and Use Tax Administration
5Act is amended by changing Section 3 as follows:
 
6    (35 ILCS 171/3)
7    Sec. 3. Legislative finding. The The General Assembly
8finds that a simplified sales tax and use tax system will
9reduce and over time eliminate the burden and cost for all
10vendors to collect this State's sales and use tax. The General
11Assembly further finds that this State should participate in
12multistate discussions to review or amend or both review and
13amend the terms of the Agreement to simplify and modernize
14sales tax and use tax administration in order to substantially
15reduce the burden of tax compliance for all sellers and for all
16types of commerce.
