8 | | (c) Different examining procedures may be determined for |
9 | | the examinations in different classifications, but all |
10 | | examinations in the same classification must be uniform. The |
11 | | examination requirement for the initial appointment, entry |
12 | | level position only, of law enforcement personnel may be |
13 | | waived if an applicant has satisfied all the requirements |
14 | | established by the Illinois Police Training Act for |
15 | | appointment of law enforcement officers and if the Merit Board |
16 | | allows for such a waiver by rule. Additional positions, entry |
17 | | level only, may have the examination requirement waived if the |
18 | | occupational standards are regulated by the Department of |
19 | | Financial and Professional Regulation, as designated by the |
20 | | Merit Board and provided for in adopted rules. |
21 | | (d) The University System shall establish an online |
22 | | examination process for applicants by July 1, 2024. The |
23 | | University System shall reimburse any travel costs for any |
24 | | out-of-state applicant who travels to the State to take an |
25 | | examination until July 1, 2024. |
