1    AN ACT concerning conservation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Pollinator-Friendly Solar Site Act is
5amended by changing Section 10 as follows:
 
6    (525 ILCS 55/10)
7    Sec. 10. Site management practices. An owner of a
8ground-mounted solar site may follow practices that that: (1)
9provide native perennial vegetation and foraging habitat which
10is beneficial to game birds, songbirds, and pollinators; and
11(2) reduce storm water runoff and erosion at the solar site. To
12the extent practicable, if establishing perennial vegetation
13and beneficial foraging habitat, a solar site owner or manager
14shall use native plant species and seed mixes that are free
15from noxious weed or exotic weed seeds.
