2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Good Samaritan Act is amended by changing |
5 | | Section 5 as follows:

7 | | Sec. 5. Emergency telephone instructions; exemption from |
8 | | civil liability. No person who gives emergency instructions |
9 | | through a system
established under the
the Emergency Telephone |
10 | | System Act to persons rendering
services in an emergency

11 | | another location, nor any person following the instructions in

12 | | rendering the services, shall be liable for any civil damages |
13 | | as a
result of issuing or following the instructions, unless |
14 | | issuing or
following the instructions constitutes willful or |
15 | | wanton misconduct. |
