2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Promissory Note and Bank Holiday Act is |
5 | | amended by changing Section 3 as follows:
|

All promissory notes, bonds, due bills and

8 | | other
instruments in writing, made or to be made, by any |
9 | | person,
body politic or corporate, whereby such person |
10 | | promises or
agrees to pay any sum of money or articles of |
11 | | personal property,
or any sum of money in personal property, |
12 | | or acknowledges any
sum of money or article of personal |
13 | | property to be due to any
other person, shall be taken to be |
14 | | due and payable, and the sum
of money or article of personal |
15 | | property therein mentioned shall,
by virtue thereof, be due |
16 | | and payable as therein expressed. |
