    Amends the Illinois Lottery Law. Removes language that would require that sales of the special instant scratch-off game to benefit Alzheimer's care, support, education, and awareness be discontinued on January 1, 2022. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Lottery Law is amended by changing
5Section 21.13 as follows:
 
6    (20 ILCS 1605/21.13)
7    Sec. 21.13. Scratch-off for Alzheimer's care, support,
8education, and awareness.
9    (a) The Department shall offer a special instant
10scratch-off game for the benefit of Alzheimer's care, support,
11education, and awareness. The game shall commence on January
121, 2020 or as soon thereafter, at the discretion of the
13Director, as is reasonably practical, and shall be
14discontinued on January 1, 2022. The operation of the game
15shall be governed by this Act and any rules adopted by the
16Department. If any provision of this Section is inconsistent
17with any other provision of this Act, then this Section
18governs.
19    (b) The net revenue from the Alzheimer's care, support,
20education, and awareness scratch-off game shall be deposited
21into the Alzheimer's Awareness Fund.
22    Moneys received for the purposes of this Section,
23including, without limitation, net revenue from the special

1instant scratch-off game and from gifts, grants, and awards
2from any public or private entity, must be deposited into the
3Fund. Any interest earned on moneys in the Fund must be
4deposited into the Fund.
5    For the purposes of this subsection, "net revenue" means
6the total amount for which tickets have been sold less the sum
7of the amount paid out in the prizes and the actual
8administrative expenses of the Department solely related to
9the scratch-off game under this Section.
10    (c) During the time that tickets are sold for the
11Alzheimer's care, support, education, and awareness
12scratch-off game, the Department shall not unreasonably
13diminish the efforts devoted to marketing any other instant
14scratch-off lottery game.
15    (d) The Department may adopt any rules necessary to
16implement and administer the provisions of this Section.

18    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
19becoming law.
