| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 292

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 292 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | line 6 on page 1 through line 11 on page 2 with the following:

| 4 | "(30 ILCS 500/45-35)
| ||||||
| 5 | Sec. 45-35. Not-for-profit agencies for persons with | ||||||
| 6 | significant disabilities. | ||||||
| 7 | (a) Qualification. Supplies and services may be procured
| ||||||
| 8 | without advertising or calling
for bids from any qualified | ||||||
| 9 | not-for-profit agency for persons with significant | ||||||
| 10 | disabilities that:
| ||||||
| 11 | (1) complies with Illinois laws governing private
| ||||||
| 12 | not-for-profit organizations;
| ||||||
| 13 | (2) is certified as a work center by the Wage
and Hour | ||||||
| 14 | Division of the
United States Department of Labor or is an | ||||||
| 15 | accredited vocational program that provides transition | ||||||
| 16 | services to youth between the ages of 14 1/2 and 22 in | ||||||
| 17 | accordance with individualized education plans under | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | Section 14-8.03 of the School Code and that provides | ||||||
| 2 | residential services at a child care institution, as | ||||||
| 3 | defined under Section 2.06 of the Child Care Act of 1969, | ||||||
| 4 | or at a group home, as defined under Section 2.16 of the | ||||||
| 5 | Child Care Act of 1969; and
| ||||||
| 6 | (3) is accredited by a nationally-recognized | ||||||
| 7 | accrediting organization or certified as a developmental | ||||||
| 8 | training provider by the Department of Human
Services."; | ||||||
| 9 | and
| ||||||
| 10 | on page 3, line 14, by replacing "and" with "and"; and
| ||||||
| 11 | on page 3, line 18, by replacing "disabilities" with | ||||||
| 12 | "disabilities, and one public member from a disability-focused | ||||||
| 13 | statewide advocacy group"; and | ||||||
| 14 | on page 8, line 8, by deleting "changing Sections 5-5.4i and | ||||||
| 15 | 5-35 and by"; and | ||||||
| 16 | by deleting line 10 on page 8 through line 17 on page 11.
