SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lloyd Duane Lawson of Coal Valley, who
4passed away on December 6, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lloyd Lawson was born to Alexander and Amy
6(Wilkinson) Lawson in Moline on August 25, 1936; he graduated
7from Western Illinois University and served in the U.S. Air
8Force; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Lloyd Lawson was employed at J I Case in East
10Moline for 29 years, retiring as Chief Inspector in 1994; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Lloyd Lawson was a member of St. Pius X Catholic
12Church, American Legion Post #246, Moline, and the Experimental
13Aircraft Association; he was a former member of Chapter #23 of
14the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and Section #1303 of the
15American Society for Quality; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Lloyd Lawson loved going out to eat and enjoyed
17traveling, sight seeing, and flying; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Lloyd Lawson was preceded in death by his wife;
19his parents; and his 12 siblings; and

1    WHEREAS, Lloyd Lawson is survived by his numerous nieces
2and nephews and their families; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Lloyd Duane Lawson and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Lloyd Lawson as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
