SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Harriett M. Mowrey of Stockland, who
4passed away on December 7, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harriett Mowrey was born to Lee M. and Mae (Baser)
6Callahan in Watseka on September 12, 1940; she married Maynard
7G. Mowrey on November 7, 1960; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Harriett Mowrey was a member of the Milford
9Christian Church and taught Sunday School for 12 years; she was
10also a member of the Stockland Township Board for 27 years, the
11Milford Library Board for 14 years, the Iroquois County Board
12for 17 years, the Iroquois Memorial Hospital Board for 12
13years, and the 911 Board for four years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Harriett Mowrey was preceded in death by her
15parents; her husband; and one grandson, Caleb Mowrey; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Harriett Mowrey is survived by her three sons, Jim
17(Debra) Mowrey, Ty (Trish) Mowrey, and Jon (Tracy) Mowrey;
18eleven grandchildren, Jaime (Darren) Bakken, Jennifer Mowrey,
19Shane (Beka) Lavicka, Amie Lavicka, Ashlie Lavicka, Cody
20Mowrey, Caley Mowrey, Cassidy Mowrey, Charlee Mowrey, Jakki
21Mowrey, and Hunter Mowrey; four great-grandchildren, Caden,

1Emmerson, and Adelynn Lavicka and Cecelia Bakken; one sister,
2Nancy Feller; and two brothers, Larry (Gayleen) Callahan and
3Henry Callahan; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Harriett Mowrey and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Harriett Mowrey as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
