SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mary Agnes Browne, who passed away on
4August 21, 2020 at the age of 97; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Agnes Browne was born on October 16, 1922 and
6spent most of her life in Oak Park; she was a community leader
7and loving mother; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Mary Agnes Browne was a leading community
9volunteer; she was a member of the local school's PTA, the
10Nineteenth Century Club, the Women's Guild at the First
11Presbyterian Church, the Infant Welfare Society, the American
12Cancer Society, the Oak Park and River Forest Day Nursery, the
13Oak Park Country Club, Phi Sigma, and others; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Mary Agnes Browne was married to the late William
15Browne; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mary Agnes Browne was the mother of Meredith
17Upward, Carolyn Brown, J. Danforth Browne, and Nancy Browne;
18the devoted grandmother of Benjamin, Andrew, Stephen, Michael,
19Lauren, and Quinn; and the great-grandmother of Gavin and Ryan;
20therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Mary Agnes Browne and extend our sincere condolences to her
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Mary Agnes Browne as an expression
8of our deepest sympathy.
