SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Nancy Carol Schlacks, who passed away on
4August 8, 2020 at the age of 81; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Nancy Schlacks was born to Florence and Joseph
6Madigan on December 15, 1938; she graduated from Trinity High
7School in 1956 and from St. Mary's College of Notre Dame in
81960; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Nancy Schlacks served as an on-call chaplain at
10West Suburban Hospital for fourteen years; she and her husband
11Paul were founding members of the St. Giles Family Mass
12community; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Nancy Schlacks loved to spend time with her family
14and with friends; she enjoyed spending time in her home in
15Palisades Park in Covert, Michigan; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Nancy Schlacks was preceded in death by her
17parents and her siblings, Bette (Eugene) Morris and Joseph
18"J.D." (Carol) Madigan Jr.; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Nancy Schlacks is survived by her husband of 58
20years, H. Paul Schlacks; her children, Erin (Tony) Evans,

1Howard "Howie" (Meegan), Julie (Chris) Schlacks-Duff, and
2Peter and Andrew Schlacks; her grandchildren, Liam Campbell,
3Emily, Sarah, Maggie, and Nora Schlacks, Charlie Duff, and Lucy
4Schlacks; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Nancy Carol Schlacks and extend our sincere condolences to her
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Nancy Schlacks as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
