SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard "Dick" L. Crosby of Rock Island,
4who passed away on October 22, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dick Crosby was born to Edward and Faye (Potts)
6Crosby in Milan on March 2, 1931; he served four years in the
7Army National Guard; he married Charlene Bell in Rock Island on
8September 5, 1953; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Dick Crosby worked as a machinist at International
10Harvester Farmall Works for 26 years, retiring in 1985; he also
11worked at Container Corporation and Greater Quad City Auction;
12he was a member of UAW Local 1309; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Dick Crosby loved quiet days working in his garage
14or relaxing on his front porch; he enjoyed NASCAR and country
15music; most of all, he cherished time with his family; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Dick Crosby was preceded in death by his parents;
17his son, Robert Crosby; his grandson, Robby Crosby; and his
18sisters, Darlene Bemblossom and Lorraine Sleyster; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Dick Crosby is survived by his wife of 67 years,
20Charlene; his children, June (Dan) McIntire, Sue (Brad) Fritz,

1Dave (Tina) Crosby, and Donna (Tom) Hunsinger; his
2grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Shayla, Amber, Jessica, Holly,
3Tabatha, Stacey, Trisha, Tony, and Mitch; and his 15
4great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Richard "Dick" L. Crosby and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Dick Crosby as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
