SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Wayne Robert Blette of East Moline, who
4passed away on October 19, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wayne Blette was born in Worcester, Massachusetts
6to Robert and Frances Curtis on November 25, 1955; during the
7Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Navy as part of Operation
8Eagle Pull and Operation Frequent Wind; he married MaryEllen
9DePorter in Jamaica on September 11, 1993; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Wayne Blette was a payroll technician at the Rock
11Island Arsenal; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Wayne Blette was a member of the St. Anne Catholic
13Church; he loved music and was an excellent guitar player; he
14was a St. Louis Cardinals fan; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Wayne Blette was preceded in death by his parents;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Wayne Blette is survived by his wife of 27 years,
18MaryEllen; his sister, Gayle Scott; his brother, Stephen
19Blette; his wife's family; and his many nieces and nephews;
20therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Wayne Robert Blette and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Wayne Blette as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
