SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William E. Richey of Moline, who passed
4away on September 10, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gene Richey was born to Lloyd and Ruby (Groves)
6Richey in Manassas, Virginia on November 24, 1932; he was a
7U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War; he
8married Nancy Houzenga in Silver City, New Mexico on August 16,
91954; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Gene Richey retired as Director of Engineering at
11Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Gene Richey enjoyed photography, playing games on
13the computer, and his cat; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Gene Richey was preceded in death by his parents,
15and his wife; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Gene Richey is survived by his children, Laurel
17Richey, Rebecca (Gary) Vinar, and Randell (Debby) Richey, and
18his grandchildren, William (Christine) Richey and Jaimie
19(Thomas) Caudill; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3William E. "Gene" Richey and extend our sincere condolences to
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Gene Richey as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
