SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard "Rich" L. Gravitt of Coal Valley,
4who passed away on September 16, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rich Gravitt was born to Arthur and Marie (Hinkel)
6Gravitt in Rock Island on September 2, 1937; he served in the
7U.S. Army; he married Patricia Houghtaling on February 27,
81960; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Rich Gravitt worked at John Deere until his
10retirement on May 1, 1996; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Rich Gravitt enjoyed classic cars and trucks; he
12loved his family, and they were everything to him; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Rich Gravitt is survived by his wife; his
14children, Jeff (Jan) Gravitt, Cathy Gravitt, and James
15(Candice) Gravitt; his grandchildren, Krystle, Michael, Grant,
16Hailey, and Greyson; his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Dominic,
17Lily, and Ryan; and his sisters, Marge (Jerry) Maddox, Sandy
18(Donny) Metzner, and Jan (Dick) Seibert; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Richard "Rich" Gravitt and extend our sincere condolences to
2his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
3further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5presented to the family of Rich Gravitt as an expression of our
6deepest sympathy.
