|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Rose A. Harcar of Streator, who passed |
4 | | away on August 15, 2020; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Rose Harcar was born to Roy and Mary (Ingram) |
6 | | Hilliard in Streator on November 11, 1946; born and raised in |
7 | | Streator, she attended local grade schools and graduated from |
8 | | Streator High School; she married James J. Harcar on May 15, |
9 | | 1973; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Rose Harcar worked for St. Mary's Hospital in the |
11 | | Physical Therapy Department through the years; after taking |
12 | | some time off to raise her family, she went to work at B&R |
13 | | Grocery for 15 years until her retirement; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Rose Harcar was a member of the former St. |
15 | | Stephen's Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the |
16 | | Archangel Church; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Rose Harcar had a big personality and was always |
18 | | quick to share a smile or her opinion; she would offer help to |
19 | | anyone at any time; she could often be found with her coffee |
20 | | klatch at one of the local restaurants solving all of the |
21 | | world's problems; she loved her family very much and always |

1 | | doted on her own kitten and her family member's pets; and
|
2 | | WHEREAS, Rose Harcar was preceded in death by her parents; |
3 | | her sister, Roberta Bullard; and her brothers and |
4 | | sisters-in-law, Joseph Harcar, Wanda Harcar, William Harcar, |
5 | | Anne Beckom, Maria Harcar, Thomas Harcar, Mona Harcar, Agnes |
6 | | Hornick, Richard Hornick, and Mike Harcar; and
|
7 | | WHEREAS, Rose Harcar is survived by her husband; her son, |
8 | | Jimmy (Heather) Harcar; her sister, Mary Beth (Larry) Wampler; |
9 | | her brothers and sisters in-law, Andrew Harcar Sr., Oral |
10 | | (Frances) Higdon, Mary Ann Woodward, Ann Harcar, and David |
11 | | Bullard; her many nieces and nephews; her great-nieces and |
12 | | nephews; and her beloved cat, Smokey; therefore, be it
|
13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL |
14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
|
15 | | Rose A. Harcar and extend our sincere
condolences to her |
16 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
her; and be it |
