SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Howard Bull of Springfield, who passed
4away on August 11, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Howard Bull was born to Gilbert and Ruby Bull in
6Jacksonville on July 25, 1941; he served in the U.S. Army and
7was very proud of his service; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Howard Bull was a mechanic/machinist by trade and
9enjoyed tinkering with engines and tools; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Howard Bull loved to fish and to teach his
11grandchildren and great-grandchildren the proper way to catch a
12crappie and was known as "Pap" to everyone who loved him; he
13loved Pawnee and New Berlin high school football, black and
14white westerns, and cola slushies; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Howard Bull was preceded in death by his parents;
16his wife of nearly 40 years, Donna Sue Bull; six brothers; and
17six sisters; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Howard Bull is survived by his three stepchildren,
19Linda Garner, John Shepherd, and Craig Shepherd; his six
20grandchildren, Dustin Garner, Krista Rentfro, Michael

1Shepherd, Andrew Shepherd, Taylor Buehrle, and Madison
2Shepherd; his eight great-grandchildren, Brayden, Mason,
3Avery, Ryker, Harper, Liam, Finnegan, and Olivia Sue; his
4brothers, Donald and Clyde Bull; and his sister, Lucille
5Shearer; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Howard Bull and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
9friends, and all who knew and loved him;; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Howard Bull as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
