SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Thomas Russell Carmean of Springfield,
4who passed away on July 24, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Carmean was born in Springfield to Roy and
6Virginia (Green) Carmean on May 9, 1947; he loved football and
7played for Feitshans High School and Illinois State University;
8he served in the U.S. Army and played football for the U.S.
9Army as well; he married Carla Daley in 1984; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Thomas Carmean worked for and retired from the
11State of Illinois; he also owned the Lake Club, the Chatham
12Pub, and Spammy's; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Thomas Carmean enjoyed golfing, playing softball,
14being on the water, and boating; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Thomas Carmean was preceded in death by his
16parents; his son, Leonard Carmean; and two brothers; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Thomas Carmean is survived by his wife, Carla; his
18daughter, Angela Carmean; his son, Jason Carmean; his
19grandchildren, Alison (fiancé T.J. Gates) Carmean, Alexandra
20Martin, and Katelyn Martin; his brother, William (Sandra)

1Carmean; and one niece and one nephew; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Thomas Russell Carmean and extend our sincere condolences to
5his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Thomas Carmean as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
