SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John "Jack" Eddleman of East Moline, who
4passed away on July 31, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jack Eddleman was born in Moline to Ralph and Mary
6Esther (Parmley) Eddleman on May 12, 1936; he married Willa Ann
7Culp in East Moline on September 7, 1956 and served in the U.S.
8Army, where he was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jack Eddleman was an assembler at John Deere
10Harvester; he retired in March of 1987 after 32 years of
11service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jack Eddleman was a lifelong member of First
13Baptist Church in East Moline; he enjoyed golfing and playing
14euchre and poker; he was a family man and loved spending time
15with his grandchildren; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jack Eddleman was preceded in death by his
17parents; his wife, Willa; his daughter, Brenda Gordon; and his
18siblings, Ruth (Jiggs) McKenzie, Don (Jeri) Eddleman, and Roy
19(Shirley) Eddleman; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Jack Eddleman is survived by his children, Anita

1(Tom) Parkinson and Ray (Lynda) Eddleman and his grandchildren,
2Trudy, Halie, Madison, Wesley, and Tyler; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5John "Jack" Eddleman and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Jack Eddleman as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
