SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lewis Raymond Rigwood of North Chicago,
4who passed away on April 3, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lewis Rigwood was born to Fidelis and Marie
6(Schueneman) Rigwood on December 18, 1934; he served in the
7U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959 and married Sally Walczak at Holy
8Rosary Church (Queen of Peace Church/Most Blessed Trinity
9Parish) on September 5, 1959; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Lewis Rigwood was employed at OMC/Johnson Motors
11in Waukegan and retired after 30 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Lewis Rigwood was preceded in death by his parents
13and his sister, Barbara (Joseph) Serkowski; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Lewis Rigwood is survived by his wife of 60 years,
15Sally; his daughter, Patricia (C.J. Brown) Rigwood; his
16daughter, Anne (Mike) Drasler and their children, Ben (Laura)
17Drasler, Victoria (Rob) Pluta, and Logan Drasler; his daughter,
18Loretta (Ron) Lackey; his son, James (Tanya) Rigwood and their
19children, Meghan and Jenna; his son, Thomas (Anna) Rigwood and
20their children, Finnegan and Nora; his son, Michael (Laura)
21Rigwood and their children, Jessica, Kyle, and Taylor; his

1daughter-in-law, Jane Rigwood and her daughter, Danielle (Codi
2Freiberger); his brother, Edward (Theresa) Rigwood; his
3sisters, Rosalie Peffer and Francis (Gary) Backman; and
4numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Lewis Raymond Rigwood and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Lewis Rigwood as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
