SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joann Mary Perkowski of Waukegan, who
4passed away on May 19, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joann Perkowski was born to Pauline and Elmer Link
6in Waukegan on August 28, 1939; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Joann Perkowski was a proud member of the Our Lady
8of Humility church family; and
 
9    WHEREAS, In retirement, Joann Perkowski enjoyed sewing,
10quilting, playing bingo, shopping, reading, watching game
11shows and soap operas, and spending time with her family and
12friends; most of all, she loved her grandchildren and wanted to
13be a part of their every event and activity; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Joann Perkowski was preceded in death by her
15brother, Ed Link; her parents; and her father in law, Raymond
16Perkowski; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Joann Perkowski is survived by her loving husband
18of 53 years, Harold "Perky" Perkowski; her children, Tracee
19(James) and Kari (Mike, Ethan, Eli, and Evan Scandiff); her
20siblings, John (Diane) Link and Terry (Susie) Link; her

1extended family, Barbara Secketa, Lynne Grosch, Celeste
2Pregracke, and Karen Goodwin; her many nieces and nephews; and
3her lifelong friends, Theresa Anderko, Sharon Bower, and Pat
4Poirier; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Joann Mary Perkowski and extend our sincere condolences to her
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Joann Perkowski as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
