SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Carol H. (Kendzior) Henkel of Arizona,
4formerly of Waukegan and Libertyville, who passed away on April
52, 2020; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Carol Henkel graduated from Holy Rosary
7Elementary School and North Chicago High School in its first
8year; she married Ronald Henkel; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Carol Henkel owned and operated her own beauty
10shop for years; she then worked for Prudential Insurance and
11the IMC Corporation; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Carol Henkel enjoyed gardening, barbershop
13singing, and sharing her artistic talents with her family and
14those with whom she worked; she volunteered many hours at the
15Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe at Marytown in Libertyville; she
16tended all the family graves at Ascension Cemetery in
17Libertyville; in Arizona, she was a longtime member of All
18Saints Church in Mesa; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Carol Henkel was preceded in death by her parents,
20Stanley Kendzior Sr. and Helen Kendzior; and

1    WHEREAS, Carol Henkel is survived by her husband of 51
2years, Ronald; her son, Stephen; her siblings, Janet Uttech,
3Betty Prusaitis, Rocky (Sue) Kendzior, Kathy Kendzior, and
4David Kendzior; and the many who called her aunt or great-aunt;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Carol H. (Kendzior) Henkel and extend our sincere condolences
9to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Carol Henkel as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
