SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph John Geraldi, who passed away on
4June 13, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Geraldi was born in Johnston City to
6Michael and Eva Geraldi on May 4, 1925; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Joseph Geraldi served in the U.S. Army Air Corps
8and received multiple medals, including the Purple Heart and
9the Distinguished Flying Cross; he was a member of the 401st
10Bombardment Group; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Joseph Geraldi was a member of St. Anastasia
12Catholic Church, the VFW, and the American Legion; he was a
13baseball coach for Northside A.C. and was president of the
14Waukegan travel teams; he also belonged to International
15Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 150 for 64 years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Joseph Geraldi was preceded in death by his wife,
17Lillian "Dolly" Geraldi; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Joseph Geraldi is survived by his children,
19Michael (Kate) Geraldi, Vita Geraldi, and Rosanne Graham; his
20grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony, Tina, Michael, Maggie, Andrea,

1Samuel, and Katherine; 13 great-grandchildren; and his
2sister-in-law, Connie McCormick; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Joseph John Geraldi and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Joseph Geraldi as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
