2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Dennis William Wells of Moline, who |
4 | | passed away on July 15, 2020; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Wells was born in Syracuse, New York to |
6 | | John Joseph and Doris Ann (Conway) Wells on August 26, 1951; he |
7 | | graduated from North Syracuse Central High School and Henderson |
8 | | State University in Arkansas; he married Cynthia J. Parker in |
9 | | January of 1974; he served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1986 |
10 | | and graduated from the United States Army Command and General |
11 | | Staff College; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Wells worked in the Civilian Federal |
13 | | Service from 1987 until 2013 as a Logistics Management |
14 | | Specialist; he worked for Domino's Pizza from 2013 to 2020; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Wells was a voracious reader of history and |
16 | | political science and served as the family resource on those |
17 | | topics; he loved to play Solitaire, Candy Crush, and various |
18 | | online games; he was a good father and husband, kind, generous, |
19 | | and loving; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Wells was preceded in death by his parents; |
21 | | his sister, Jacqueline Borio; his brother-in-law, Charles |
|

1 | | Borio; his father-in-law, Max Parker; and his brother-in-law, |
2 | | John Parker; and
|
3 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Wells is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his |
4 | | sons, Patrick (Daniela Gregory) and Stephen (Brittney) Wells; |
5 | | his grandchildren, Francesco and Viviana Wells; his |
6 | | mother-in-law, Helen Parker; his sisters, JoAnn (Bill) Munroe, |
7 | | Mary Ellen Johnson, and Barbara (Kevin) Bennett; his brothers, |
8 | | James (Barbara) and Thomas (Cheryl McCrea) Wells; his |
9 | | sister-in-law, Leslie Parker; his brother-in-law, Joseph |
10 | | (Terri) Parker; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his |
11 | | dear friends, Susan Williams, Pat Jones, Becky Chiapetta, Susan |
12 | | Brock, Brandon Jett, and Holly Skiver; therefore, be it
|
13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL |
14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
15 | | Dennis William Wells and extend our sincere condolences to his |
16 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
17 | | further

18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
19 | | presented to the family of Dennis Wells as an expression of our |
20 | | deepest sympathy.
