SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stanley "Stan" Waldorf of Cordova, who
4passed away on July 14, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Stan Waldorf was born in Sparta, Wisconsin to Fred
6and Leona Brown Fiet on October 10, 1942; he graduated from
7Clinton High School in 1960 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps
8from 1960 to 1963; he married Emilie Jones; he later married
9Judy (DeCastecker) Burggraf in Rock Island on March 12, 1993;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Stan Waldorf retired from ALCOA in 2005; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Stan Waldorf was an avid golfer at Byron Hills
13Golf Course with three holes in one to his credit, two of which
14were eight days apart; he was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and
15was a member of East Moline Legion Post 227, where he served on
16the Honor Guard; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Stan Waldorf was preceded in death by his father,
18Fred Fiet; his mother, Leona; his adoptive father, Ron Waldorf;
19and his sister, Nancy Haefner; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Stan Waldorf is survived by his wife, Judy; his

1children, Jason, (Jennifer) Waldorf, Josh Waldorf, Cassie
2(Nick) Bultsma, Jay Burggraf (Stephanie Tubbs), and Janie (Tom)
3Bussert; his grandchildren, Caedence, Henry, Kamden, and
4Grayson Waldorf, Julia Bultsma, Dakota Serra-Burggraf, Olivia
5(Steven) Soseman, and Lila Bussert; his siblings, Bonnie (Gary)
6Schroeder, Roberta (Jim) Kuhn, and Annette (Steve) Snell; and
7his special sister, Patricia Denmon; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Stanley "Stan" Waldorf and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Stan Waldorf as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
