SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John Richard "Jack" Daniels, who passed
4away on July 12, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jack Daniels was born in Moline to Charles and
6Norma (Meinert) Daniels on October 23, 1940; he served in the
7U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jack Daniels retired in 1990 as a supervisor from
9the former John Deere Malleable in East Moline; following his
10retirement, he worked several years at Ron's Town Liquor in
11East Moline; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jack Daniels enjoyed woodworking and working with
13his hands; he also enjoyed fishing, antiquing, attending estate
14sales, and collecting John Deere memorabilia; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jack Daniels was preceded in death by his parents
16and his siblings, Delores Henderson, Marilyn Bloomquist, James
17Daniels, and Carl Daniels; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jack Daniels is survived by his children, Julie
19(Richard) Hampton and Jon (Ray) Daniels; his companion, Betty
20Kraemer; his stepchildren, Zachary Kraemer, Crystal (Richard)

1Dhamers, Becca (Martin) Sandidge, and Scott Daniels; his
2grandson, Derrick Cullison; his great-grandchildren, Paisley,
3Lincoln, Wesley, Brayden, Ryley, Tiffany, and Marty; his
4siblings, Leoria Denato, Dorthea Jamieson, Charlotte (Arnold)
5Frank, Betty (Gary) Welch, Shirley (Robert) Bonnett, Linda
6Bacus, and Charles (Joan) Daniels; and many nieces and nephews;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10John Richard "Jack" Daniels and extend our sincere condolences
11to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Jack Daniels as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
