SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard M. "Dick" Hatlett of Rock Island,
4who passed away on June 30, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Hatlett was born in Fairfield to Larry and
6Emma (Skelton) Hatlett on April 22, 1926; he served in the U.S.
7Army during World War II and married Marjorie Farmer in Cisne
8on July 5, 1953; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Richard Hatlett was an accountant for the Rock
10Island Arsenal, retiring in 1977; later, he worked for Samuels
11Jewelers, Necker's Jewelers, and Cohen's Furniture; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Richard Hatlett was a member of the 15th Avenue
13Christian Church in Rock Island, the National Active and
14Retired Federal Employees Association, Moline American Legion
15No. 246, and the Kiwanis; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Richard Hatlett was preceded in death by his
17parents and his siblings, Lucille, Catherine, Flora, Naomi,
18Larry, and Robert; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Richard Hatlett is survived by his wife, Marjorie;
20his children, Richard Hatlett, Robert (Jeanie) Hatlett, Ronald

1(Sandra) Hatlett, Cathy Wilson, and Lisa Hatlett; eight
2grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three
3great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Richard M. "Dick" Hatlett and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Richard Hatlett as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
