SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Susan Kay Sutton of Bloomington, who
4passed away on June 12, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Susan Sutton was born in Freeport to Lawrence and
6Nell Herbig on August 18, 1950; her favorite childhood memories
7were going to the cabin in Tomahawk, Wisconsin and spending
8time with her extended family; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Susan Sutton had a passion for real estate and
10worked hard to provide her clients with a professional and
11caring experience; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Susan Sutton was a member of the Evergreen Racquet
13Club for over 40 years; her team competed for national
14championships in 1990, 1996, and 2001; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Susan Sutton had a vivacious personality and a
16desire to live life to the fullest; she was always on the move
17and had many hobbies, including tennis and sewing; she enjoyed
18creating sewing projects and crafts for her friends and family;
19she was kind and generous; a beautiful sky, flowers, and
20vegetable gardens always made her smile; and

1    WHEREAS, Susan Sutton was a member of Second Presbyterian
2Church in Bloomington and Eastview Christian Church in Normal;
3and
 
4    WHEREAS, Susan Sutton is survived by her husband, Don
5Sutton; her daughters, Kellie Henry (David) and Amanda Boitnott
6(Greg); her stepchildren, Doug Sutton, Julie Houston, and Jill
7Costas (Bob); her grandchildren, Jackson Henry, Emma Boitnott,
8Ellie Boitnott, Isaac Henry, Carlie Boitnott, Spencer Henry,
9Ashlyn Houston, and Alexa Houston; her sister, Marsha Forsythe;
10and her brothers, Terry (Donna) and Todd Herbig; therefore, be
11it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Susan Kay Sutton and extend our sincere condolences to her
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Susan Sutton as an expression of our
19deepest sympathy.
