SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Clint Matthew Jones of Maryville, who
4passed away on July 3, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Clint Jones was born in Benton on September 26,
61975; he married Heather Mueller on November 4, 2006; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Clint Jones worked for the Village of Maryville
8for over 14 years; he was elected to the Madison County Board
9for District 27 in 2016; as a county board member, he served as
10the chairman of the Facilities Management Committee and Sewer
11Facilities Committee and served on the Executive, Grants, and
12Transportation Committees; he also helped in the campaigns of
13his friends and colleagues; he was vice chairperson for the
14Madison County Republican Party and precinct committeeman for
15Collinsville Township; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Clint Jones was a member and past president of the
17Maryville Kiwanis; he was a member of the Collinsville Masonic
18Lodge, the Scottish Rite, and the Fire Pension Board, as well
19as liaison for Cub Scout Pack 4081; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Clint Jones loved his family and his community; he
21never knew a stranger and selflessly gave to others, whether it

1was by taking food to Kreitner School for children in need,
2serving on a committee to better the lives of the residents of
3the Village of Maryville and Madison County, moving a hospital
4bed, or simply helping a friend; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Clint Jones loved to hunt with his trusty dog,
6Hank, and they would spend hours hunting alone or with friends;
7he always gave Hank a double cheeseburger on the way home from
8a hunt; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Clint Jones was kind, loyal, and nurturing; he
10wanted to leave a strong foundation for his boys and teach them
11how to be great men; in that endeavor, he has left a lasting
12impression on everyone who knew him; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Clint Jones was preceded in death by his
14grandparents, Lewis and Verna Miles and Fred and Marjorie
15Jones; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Clint Jones is survived by his wife, Heather; his
17children, Merin Gibson, Luke Jones, and Maddox Jones; his
18mother, Beverly (Jim) Eldridge; his father, Lowell (Linda)
19Jones; his brother, Jonathan (Kelly) Jones; his nieces and
20nephew, Riley and Ashley Jones and Kyle Fricker; his
21father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kurt and Terri Mueller; his
22brothers-in-law, Chad Mueller and Kurt Nathan Mueller

1(Amanda); his niece and nephew, Emelia Mueller and Kurt Brennon
2Mueller; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Clint Matthew Jones and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Clint Jones as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
