SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James "Jim" Raymond Moore of Moline, who
4passed away on June 20, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Moore was born to Raymond and Sophia (Jensen)
6Moore in DeWitt on August 13, 1933; he graduated from Grand
7Mound High School in 1952; he served in the United States Army
8stateside during the Korean War and greatly enjoyed the Honor
9Flight to Washington DC several years ago; Jim married Karen
10(Lewis) Fariss in Bettendorf on February 22, 2003; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Upon being honorably discharged, Jim farmed and
12was a Transportation Driver for Case/IH until retirement; after
13his retirement from Case, he worked at the Rock Island Sale
14Barn until age 82; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jim Moore was a farmer at heart who enjoyed all
16aspects of the farm, especially cattle; he loved time spent
17with his family and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago
18Cubs; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jim Moore was preceded in death by his parents;
20his infant son, Dirk Moore; his son-in-law, Tim Beranek; his
21grandson, Louis Beranek; his brothers, Raymond Moore, Jr. and

1Edward Moore; his brother-in-law, Gary Nosa; his
2sister-in-law, Beverly Moore; his former wife, Doris Moore
3Brick; and his wife, Dorothy Moore; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Jim Moore is survived by his wife, Karen; his
5children, James Dean Moore, Jeanine Beranek, Jeff (Angie)
6Moore, Joleen (Lance) Henning, Diane (William Clinton) Moore,
7Darsha (Jay) White, Kelly (Steve) Summers, Kory Fariss, and
8Kevin (Angela) Fariss; his grandchildren, Megan (Kris)
9Richardson, Jonathan (Samantha) Beranek, Kayla (Mitch) Heiar,
10Kyle (Cierra Wilder) Moore, Moriah Henning, Savanna Henning,
11Jenna White, Kendall White, Jensen White, Chloe Summers,
12Cassidy Summers, Chase Summers, Kristen (A.J.) Crone, Austin
13Fariss, Lilly Fariss, Audrey Fariss, Lane Fariss, and Landon
14Fariss; his great-grandchildren, Eli, Lucas, and Henry
15Richardson; his siblings, Maurita (Jim) Burke, Vince Moore,
16Dave (Karen) Moore, Laurent (Carol) Moore, and Pam Nosa; his
17sister-in-law, Lois Moore-Rittmer, and his nieces and nephews;
18therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
21James "Jim" Raymond Moore and extend our sincere condolences to
22his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
23further
