SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lisa Marie Maffeo, who passed away on
4April 8, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lisa Maffeo was born to Jim and Denise Maffeo on
6July 25, 1983; she attended Joliet-area schools and graduated
7from the Joliet Central AVAC Program in 2004; she continuously
8talked about how much she liked the teachers, especially Mr.
9and Mrs. Spires; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Lisa Maffeo attended the Cornerstone programs,
11where she made many friends; her most recent job was at the
12McDonald's on Jefferson Street; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Lisa Maffeo had recently joined the drumline,
14which she loved; she touched many people and never said a bad
15word about anyone; her crew at Cornerstone included Louis, a
16lifelong friend, Heather, her bocce partner, Ashley, Chris, and
17Quintez; they enjoyed visiting Jamesons on Wednesdays to play
18Bingo and eat tacos; she attended the Special Olympics and
19excelled at Bocce Ball; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Lisa Maffeo was preceded in death by her
21grandparents, Joe and Virginia Maffeo and Chester and Edie

2    WHEREAS, Lisa Maffeo is survived by her parents; her
3brother Tony and his children, Joe, Matthew, and Mia; her Aunt
4Ramona and Uncle Paul Delrose and their children, Marissa and
5Michael; her Uncle John and Aunt Linda Maffeo; and her dear
6partners in crime, Gloria Matis and Lori Ryan; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Lisa Marie Maffeo and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Lisa Maffeo as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
