SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jean M. Geraci of Homewood, who passed
4away on March 1, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jean Geraci was born to Hattie (Hein) Kazmin and
6John C. Kazmin on December 17, 1931; she formerly resided in
7the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago; she married John
8Geraci, and he preceded her in death on December 20, 2012; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jean Geraci was a 50-year parishioner of St.
10Kieran Church in Chicago Heights, where she served as a former
11lector; she was an active member of the St. Kieran Woman's Club
12and a member of the Homewood Sing-A-Lings Choral Group; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jean Geraci was preceded in death by her husband
14of 58 years, John Geraci; her parents; her sister, Violet; and
15her sister-in-law, Sue Kazmin; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jean Geraci is survived by her children, Roxane
17(James) Militello and John C. (Ann) Geraci; her grandchildren,
18Sarah (Bruce) Hrascinski, Casey (Megan) Ryan, Meghan (Tim
19Breen) Ryan, Seth Geraci, Hannah Geraci, and Sam Geraci; her
20great-grandchildren, Keeghan O'Reilly, Brooklyn Jean O'Reilly,
21Eisele Hrascinski, and Mila Hrascinski; her brother, John (late

1Sue) Kazmin; her many nieces and nephews; and her many friends;
2therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Jean M. Geraci and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Jean Geraci as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
