SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Allen "Al" Tysma of East Moline, who
4passed away on June 13, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Al Tysma was born in Beltrami, Minnesota to John
6and Gertrude "Gerti" (Epema) Tysma on April 13, 1936; he served
7in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1959 and married Helen Ewalt at
8the First Christian Church in Moline on April 23, 1979; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Al Tysma retired from John Deere Plow Planter in
10Moline in 1992 after 30 years of service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Al Tysma was a member of the Moose and the Masons;
12he enjoyed playing euchre, fishing, and boating; he and Helen
13enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Al Tysma was preceded in death by his parents; his
15stepmother, Sophie Tysma; his grandson, Kevin Mundt; his
16sister, Marie (Marv) White; his stepbrother, Ted Bohl; and his
17stepsister, Linda (Al) Lovestead; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Al Tysma is survived by his wife, Helen; his
19children, Diana (Bo) Eckert, John (Renee) Tysma, Bradley
20(Linda) Small, Rodney Small (Dave Sullivan), and Debbie (Roger)

1Peterson; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four
2great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Ray (Phyllis) Tysma;
3his stepbrother, Ron (Norma) Bohl; his stepsister-in-law,
4Carolyn Bohl; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Allen "Al" Tysma and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Al Tysma as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
