SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marion Lloyd Taulbee of Colona, who
4passed away on May 27, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lloyd Taulbee was born in Keysville, Missouri to
6Blaine and Mary (Hatcher) Taulbee on February 13, 1934; he
7married Shirley Beverlin in East Moline on December 31, 1955;
8he served in the U.S. Army; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Lloyd Taulbee worked for the former International
10Harvester Farmall in Rock Island until 1986; following
11retirement, he read the water meters in Colona for 11 years;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Lloyd Taulbee loved mowing his lawn on his riding
14lawn mower, solving puzzles, and spending time with his
15children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; he was
16mechanically inclined and could fix anything; he was known for
17his great sense of humor and always having a smile for
18everyone; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Lloyd Taulbee was preceded in death by his
20great-grandson, Shawn Star; and

1    WHEREAS, Lloyd Taulbee is survived by his wife of 64 years,
2Shirley; his children, Alan (Mary) Taulbee, Lisa (Craig)
3Tillman, Kari Taulbee (Ken Unger), Brian Taulbee, and Scott
4(Lori) Taulbee; his 12 grandchildren; his 17
5great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Shirley Winthurst, Tom
6Taulbee, and his twin brother James "Floyd" (Lois) Taulbee;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Marion Lloyd Taulbee and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Lloyd Taulbee as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
