SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death Sigmund Frank Faber of Bloomington, who
4passed away on April 4, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Sigmund Faber was born to Joseph and Caroline
6Faber in Chicago on May 22, 1934; he married Marguerite Marie
7Guarino in River Grove on October 28, 1973; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Sigmund Faber worked as a diesel mechanic for Seng
9Trucking; he was a Korean War veteran who served in the U.S.
10Air Force; he was active in the VFW and always had the American
11Flag hanging outside of his home; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Sigmund was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; he loved
13elephants, John Wayne, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash and was
14known to wake his family up on July 4 to John Phillips Sousa at
155 a.m.; he had a great sense of humor and was always generous
16to those in need; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Sigmund Faber was preceded in death by his
18parents; his sister, Shirley Faber (Ed) Stretch; his brother,
19U.S. Marine Ronald "Ronnie" Faber; and his cherished dog, Hawk;

1    WHEREAS, Sigmund Faber is survived by his beloved wife of
246 years; his daughter, Michelle Caroline (Rodney Glynn)
3Henninger; his grandson, U.S. Navy Seaman Patrick Norris
4Henninger; his nieces and nephews, and his cherished dog, Marti
5and grandpuppies, AJ and Wally; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Sigmund Frank Faber and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Sigmund Faber as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
