SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Donald E. Jones of Hillsdale, who passed
4away on April 30, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Jones was born to Orland and Dorathy
6(Martin) Jones in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania on December 26,
71942; he served honorably in the United States Marine Corps
8from 1961 to 1965; he married Shirley M. Dhooge on June 1,
91968; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Donald Jones was employed as a radiation
11technician at Exelon Nuclear; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Donald Jones loved fishing and playing slow pitch
13softball; he was a good cook, enjoyed working puzzles, and
14playing bingo; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Donald Jones was preceded in death by his parents;
16his sister, Mary Buzzard; his three brothers, Sam, Charles, and
17Jim Jones; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and
18Gabriel Dhooge; his brother-in-law, Donald Dhooge; and his
19sister-in-law, Sue Ann Dhooge; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Donald Jones is survived by his wife, Shirley; his

1daughter, Carey Feller; his sons, Andy Jones and Tony Jones;
2his sisters, Nancy Jones, Sally Coder, and Barb (Joe) Gula; his
3brother, Bill Jones; his sisters-in-law, Janet Jones, Jane
4Jones, and Judy Jones; and his four grandchildren, Nicholas and
5Adam Waldbusser and Lee and Michael Jones; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Donald E. Jones and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Donald Jones as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
